a poet is dead

the stars cry rivers of light
as the moon bows his head
the planet pauses in prayer
a laureate is now dead

words of wisdom were let fly
from the heart of mind and soul
to the pages we now read
in our minds she will forever stroll

a life lived without any fear
as seen in poetry and prize
and the truth of each line
is still in earth, it will rise

from the wisping dust she rose
poverty was the cloak she wore
with the passing of the years
she shredded it off some more

Tempestuous (To Serve Poet WS)

Death crawled in through her sex hole
and ate me away until I was
just another stranger passing by
I mused over the blood I should be bleeding
teasing her with a playful game of hide and seek
she sought me deep into the marrow of my bones
before becoming familiar with me in that old haunt
where I hummed songs with Death
while holding hands with her uterus
she tattled on me to my god
and if my god were to exist
I most certainly would have to be punished

In his footsteps

In his footsteps

Your Loneliness
will one day
some day…

make you an outstanding poet
which you already are
and you are now making a line
fine
out of your own condition,
this is outstanding
as you wish to live alone
without your family..

I had to spend just a day
and you know
tears rolled away
had to make tea,
for lunch,

so make not a mistake
your life can still be happy and gay,
no not the way of today
but old ways

portent suffer
patterns diviner
a swan neck wrist
extends
exposing downed
flank flesh
raised arm trailing
surf clouds
clouds of burgundy
parted by the
bourgeois amusement
peach and cream teeth
tilled

the sun laps shores of
resin
dusk and amber

a scar trodden down
one arm
and dipped into the
wind kept whirl
while an emotion of
traffic seethes past
a flourish of green
the rotting chain link
a vertebrae posture

averted apostrophes

TOWARD UNCERTAINTY

Just a single step is all
and one stride no longer takes me far
when traveling toward one's final fall
in search of who you really are.

I find myself far down the trail
with forks aplenty yet to choose
and the consequences they'll entail.
One choice might win, another lose.

Looking back my past seems clear,
unlike as when I walked that path,
a wavering line which leads to here
where I deal with choices' aftermath.

Winter Solstice

Tonight I heard a snowflake
In fractal notation
Whisperings of dark winter
And death's final moments

In hushed hibernation
Unaware of his slumber
He is timed to replenish
One two three, one two three

Suspended in stillness
Yet timed to perfection
A new springtime birth
Repeated in verse

Awakened to life
He rejoices in momentum
To all that springs around him
Dew drops in the morn
