Words From A Friend

Why do you cower and hide?
Stand up and change your life!
Whining changes nothing!
Its sickening, irritating!

Show me your mettle, man!
Don't tell me its the end
you're neither spineless
nor are you brainless

Stop wallowing in self-pity
making yourself feel empty
when you can strive harder
be wiser and stronger!

Cowardice doesn't suit you
doubts will only stop you
when you should move forward
to be free from the hurt

Deceit (Serve A Poet WS)

Each breath does now stink
fouled by your dubious lips
which had lured me into a kiss
now makes my heart sink

Gone are those milky ways
now blurred in my misty gaze
hope too has sunk to the bottom
of a well I now can't fathom

I piss off your poisoned potion
curdling knots in my bloody veins
in the muddied mess I now stomp
on the mirage of your lovely face

Your shadow follows me no more
now freed of your dubious love
as I tread on a road less traveled
my breath now rid of your foul

MEMORIAL INSPECTION

The walking staff digs in a bit
on the pebble paved neat winding way
each time he steps and leans on it
on this bright clear late spring day.

Shadows recline in ordered rows
save for a tree's shade here and there.
All about lush green grass grows.
Far off a field lark sings somewhere.

A shuffling crunch, another pace
from the feeble, fading, limping guy
whose staggered stride still has strange grace.
Headstones salute as he goes by.

Winter Solstice

Tonight I heard a snowflake
In fractal notation
Whisperings of winter
And death's final moments

In hushed darkened hibernation
Unaware of slumber
Timed to replenish
One two step one two step

Suspended stillness
Yet timed to perfection
A springtime birth
Repeated in verse

T o l l v er m o u t h .........

chamberry
ghosts
written

the leather worn
frayed soft at the stitching
a chassis grace
down arched spires
of summer desire

liquid eyes
and pungent realm
the pines
where shiver ghosts
and whisper hips
taste electric souls
quiver
turbo charge river like
octane ghosts
needleful walks
pressing imprint impressions
the summer storms lesson

winterflesh in creeks cupped
the ragged limestone
wishes

Raw

Since I no longer rest in your bedding,
My head is no longer resting,
My mind is slowly infecting
All of my soul which is protesting.
My heart; only accelerating
As anxious thoughts are manifesting,
Your lips are all that mine are requesting.

Choked

My throat has a lump
nearby there is no sump
where one can go and throw

The voice yells
go man go
but then I to maintain dignity
do swallow,
how shallow may be yes
may not be

but sometimes
my own voice chokes me…

Fresh Blossom (To Serve A Poet)

You stood out as a delicate gem of nature
the epitome of true passion
before your youth is ravaged through time

Weathered of your prime,
you bow to fate's decree, leaving behind
seeds of your memory to the birds of flight
that will spread them across the earth

The memory of your youth will linger
in the fragrance of the soil
until its time for it to be revived
when another's cycle begins

A Lasting Olympic Flame..

A Lasting Olympic Flame….

The starter’s gun was silenced by their roar,
in the velodrome not a wheel was turning.
Crowds of hungry people trying to score,
looked on as their homes were burning.

One had the strength to ask their leader,
should we just think this is an Olympic flame.
What about my daughter now I can’t feed her.
my homes burning but you say no ones to blame.

Hidden Love (To Serve Poet)

Hidden Love

I sit here listening to soft music.
Spirits of the Isles, touches my soul.
Racing as silent tides toward my shore
Gathered, then gently left for all to see.

Thoughts of things gone by, touch me now,
visions of things to come satisfy a need.
Where are those voices that echo love
I need them now, to fulfil a space in time.

Comfort in knowing our love is safe.
That you and I loved without earthly ties.
Come sit a while with me, here as one.
Catch with me our love, because I care.
