Stuck in the mud

I wish I was liked
I wish I was loved

I wish I was seen
as an angel from above

I'm more like a demon
hiding my horns

I'm stuck in the mud
I'm covered in thorns

why can't I be
like the normal girls

light colored hair
and covered in pearls

but I just sit here
stuck in the mud

wishing I was an angel
sent from above

The Puppet Master

Welcome to the freak show, honey!
Come right inside, no reason to hide.
(Come a little bit closer)
We want your body, not your money.
All too familiar with your kind.

The dolls, don't they seem real?
Why don't you give them a feel?
(Come a little bit closer)
Whispers? What whispers?
I don't hear a thing!

Strings tied through gaping holes,
We are his mother, his daughter, his lover.
(He's almost here)
Bloody tears on crusted faces
Don't worry, there's nothing to fear

Can You Hear The Stars?

When I was just a little guy
Perhaps no more than four,
I'd sit on Grandpa's porch
And he's tell me tales of yore.

I would sit on Grandpa's lap
And he would tickle me and tease,
As he filled me full of wonder
With stories sure to please.

Even then I think I knew
That he stretched the truth a bit,
But it really didn't matter
When on my Grandpa's lap I'd sit.

The Monster Under My Bed

The monster under my bed
Gives me shivers and dread
It lurks and hides in darkness
And holds me in its grasp

It keeps me up at night
The fear of it, a fright
My pillow is my shield
My armor for protection

It lies beneath my feet
It makes my heart skip a beat
The monster seeks my desire
Each and every hour

The small white bag beneath my bed
Remains the reason for my dread
A real monster that fills my dreams
It knows how to invade my choices

Being caught in a rainstorm

Far from the gloomy sky
A drum roll of a hearing noise
like a roaring lion
of the thunderstorm
From god’s clapping hands
Bursting up with the raindrop
Casting down to the basket
to fill the thirst of the quest
with the fresh dew taste
Darkness falls from the shadow
where I am standing at
when the midnight hour
is approaching that is taking me
to the verge of the edge
In the lost of jungle
with the April shower pouring
down from the leading rainstorm
Shivering in a cold breeze wind

Standing in your doorway

Lately i’ve been wandering around the edges of love.
It’s like walking past an ornate doorframe, and glancing into a warmly-lit room.
I don’t step inside, but I admire the beauty from the hallway.
I keep on walking and I go outside to an overgrown but flowering garden.
With a little pruning, it could be beautiful.
It’s a place where Love could be and I keep walking.

Beyond All Loss

This moment is not born for carefree thought,
its labor, once of bliss, was all for naught.
Pray tell, my broken heart, the wretched why
in my hour of mourning, I shall not cry?

Call the children indoors from cheerful play,
banish all sounds of laughter from this day.
Deny all logic, hurl away sweet peace,
this suffering demands all joy to cease.

Trees whip wild

trees whip wild in white dry winds
electricity sparks death ghosts whirl in the cacophony darkness
smoke ballooning howls of red the forest bends broken at its knees
Black trunks fall roar through flames creatures run skin blazing screaming

dying

the agony of it
