Lizard eats spider: film at eleven

Indiff'rent to the Shape that blocks the sun

Without concern for that that isn't shade

The overheated lizard makes his run

To shadows where no sunlight yet has played

The chill of night still lingers somewhat there

And groggy bugs still clumsy with the cold

Supply a chance for multi-leggéd fare

For reptiles who are hungry and so bold

(Or merely dim) that hourglass shiny red

Does not alarm nor take them off their tracks.

A blur of teeth and scales! a spider dead!

A lizard not yet sated wants more snacks.

So grateful I, that my legs number two

And that I'm rather more than he can chew.
