my curiosities
I will take passage on the sea
make manifest this destiny.
Let words be writ with moving hand
and young feet walk upon the sand.
Long distance from the shore
on gentle swells a surf ski bore,
hills of home lost to the sea
to leave an ocean nursing me,
upon a slip of bark afloat,
upon this vast Pacific moat.
Family group, sedately passes bye,
pod of young and old, now I,
their dark eyes looking into me
washed with brine so glisteningly,
intelligence so plain and free,
reflects on all my curiosities.
make manifest this destiny.
Let words be writ with moving hand
and young feet walk upon the sand.
Long distance from the shore
on gentle swells a surf ski bore,
hills of home lost to the sea
to leave an ocean nursing me,
upon a slip of bark afloat,
upon this vast Pacific moat.
Family group, sedately passes bye,
pod of young and old, now I,
their dark eyes looking into me
washed with brine so glisteningly,
intelligence so plain and free,
reflects on all my curiosities.
