so I know

When you came to me
and smiled
with your eyes

I read your journeys'
all of them
and so I loved you

but you caught me by surprise
when you kissed me
lighter than a butterfly
upon my eyelids
and on my forehead

when you left
you took me with you
and so I know.

Dear Craig,

Perhaps love really arrives with the sap of spring. You are one of Olya's favourites. And now I must report to her that you have left your words with your leather jacket back in the muscle car. There will be many who like this, which is all to the worse. If you wish to seduce, this family asks that you do so "more well". Four stanzas, four digs. Affectionately, Brian

have I hit a nerve

dear Brian, do the butterfly wings that flutter by you disturb with their artless flap. I am but a traveller. This is a purely personal little write and I don't expect too many others to be engaged by it. Regarding the muscle car, I think WC would be more your man, I'm pretty sedate on four wheels. Love. Dear Craig,

Perhaps I should apologize for being too familiar with the use of cheekiness. Affectionately, Brian

This is astoundingly deep

This is astoundingly deep (as I love of your writing, so much) and phenomenally beautiful - a descriptor that is constant in my thoughts of your work. This writing Craig, stays with the reader. V Thank you
