Love & Loss

You said I was the water,
pure and life-sustaining
When did you decide to dehydrate?
You said we could get lost,
fly away together
When did you grow wings without me?
When did you decide
to bury your greatest treasure,
so far down you cannot see it
When did you decide
to hide your greatest discovery,
never to be found again
When did you decide
to let go of the one
you said you'd wait forever for?
Did I disappear,
become the phantom limb
you feel but won't let yourself see

"REAL"

Often are told the tales of dreams
without reality's constraint
where we can fall between the seams
and waking world can become faint.

Fantastic worlds can flow from pen,
often times I write of them
as do many other men
before the stories become dim.

Do those in that other land,
when they fall asleep at night,
envision us here in our strand
as we endure some mundane plight?

What is it to really BE
in either existence we share?
for reality is what we see
whether we are here or there.

Renga 6 Enmity dies friendships blossom

Let enmity die
so that friendship blooms anew
in its true beauty
rid self of clandestine thoughts
dissembling friendship dark doubts

Back to back under
a sprouting spring tree swaying
no words are needed
carving letters on the bowl
joining like souls for ever.

Letters may wither
yet the bowl will symbolize
delight in sharing
cattle graze where old house stood
memories of past lingers

A Special Renga Love and Sunset

Red glaucoma eyes
dry itchy blurred cornea
seize a sunset drop
maybe from a glass of wine
too many too see clear

Tears blur the vision
are these tears for the sunset
or are they for you
beautiful as it maybe
the tears are for both of us

My love remember
it was me that held your heart
draining the life blood
weak in the knees, falling short
of the balance between us

Waiting to see

That's why in most of my thoughts
I say
The distant horizon…
I can't see
the sunset shows its lining
and
when the sun has set where ,
I live
my kith and kin awaken

so round the clock
we all keep vigil
waiting to see
the horizon

the sacred

a gusts flame......an eyes
mated fire,
meted torch; touch endeared
flint torque

heartbeat pugilist
colliding hermitage
from snake covulated
stream silhouette

juniper evergreen
desires....fiery venomous
jaffar nascent
foretaste sun nibbles

bliss brine of the corporeal...nuptial
and the bleeds rose healed

A Gift From The Rain

Grim faces from the sky
brings forth the heavenly tears.
Sheltered from nature's whims
I sat in my house, welcoming
the memories of my youth
when I was only a child,
playing with friends in the rain.
Unafraid of the lightning,
ignorant of what harm it could bring,
squealing in delight,
laughing and dancing around
before our angry mothers
called all of us home..
Those are the good old days
I will never forget,
the gift of fond memories
which return when it rains......

Metro Nights with Digit (Visit to the USA)

The darkness woke Digit in his room
He knew he would have to wander soon
The Ramadan in Eastside he chose to hide
To find for his sharpened blade a bride

It was a cool evening in full swing
Digit left to do his nasty thing
To the prime of the city he did go
On the Metro he would start his show

Greeting the gate keeper as he smiled
Don’t worry you are safe my child
Let me catch a train to anywhere
Let’s see a ticket to butcher and scare

KAFFIENNE KISS KOLLISHUN

ENGAGE this day
jump to the day
large wide eye
awakening
heart beat jazz
the radio blaring out its sunny cheeze
and tear away the crumpled sheets
awake the car and roll the streets

hot splash of sunshine
falling behind the dark
rimmed ovals
sharp rays
dark shadows
