King is born

the glass filleth with love

and

hope as a new one is born
a replica to remind us
of lost ones,
as their memory returns…

that you have taken the initiative
to bless the couple
so let the world also know,

the rich life that lies ahead

and

the burden that also will lie
on this new born’s head

and

as he awaits his turn
he surely will leave a legacy in return

to seed more happiness and love
for those who will
later on lead the world….

We thought court racism was done
the judicial battles all hard won
til hatred took another son
and we found justice suddenly gone.

For we discovered when a killer
stalks and scares and shoots a youngster
all he needs is just one juror
To sell his self-defense to as a cover

So now I tell my teen-aged son
that when he steps out on his own
he must make sure that he's alone
and not the target of a gun
aimed by some murdering racist scum.

rain sizzles like a hot wind on spurned
skin

the vision taps gleam
hotly in the flicker of light
the crash falling
in through the dark black waves
of sleep

bright as a wing
full of sunset

a violet
does not shrink from the foot
that stepped on it
only its scent remains paraphrased...

but you were sleeping

I was being chased by an unknown
assailant and then the dream

is frightened to death

I write fuck me fuck me fuck me,
I want it bad.  hard.  pulsating inside
me,
it ain't the real thing, never is.

not for you and not for me.  neither

If you so don't desire

ignite a blazing fire
alas it's your domain

but permit you to cross my lane
to say what the hell
where do you live
go clean up while time there is still

you only compose poetry
to your useless
not invaluable time
to kill

Irony is her cursor
in a field with little yield,
as jungled laws prove their tenacity has merit.

Nonetheless, Fate, skillfully attributes Life
with a magically different set of circumstancess,
one that whispers of a darker loveliness.

And so, as with the heart of any Mother
she finds favor in the serendipitous manner,
that Life's winds highlights her exotic beauty.

Born into magick royalty
the one sent by the Goddess
who would set them free.

From conception forward
his destiny defined.
But in a dream
to his mother
the oracle, Riobhlinn, prophesised.
Written in blood
was Ravenel’s early demise.

With dark forces
landing on the shore,
the Queen made
a painful choice
to let her baby go.

The ferry arrives in the deep green water valley
where we wait rocking on the wharf,
brooding bush behind us
and the bird calls intermittent now
and less urgent.

The engines churn into overload, reversing
and the slave ship rattle
of the deck hand's throw and slide
seems almost mythic.

The quiet commuters,
patient as fishermen
and the young girls in their shorts
laugh into the white wash
and share secrets

I love you both
oh so dearly,
but what about me?
You left me leery.

I just wanted to be on top.
Center stage for just one play.
Then you came, took that away.

Whats it like,
to take control?
To be the star,
be lead role.

My chance is close,
but you're so near.
Now my biggest fear,
is knowing you're in their ear.

All I need,
is the triple threat.
A little success,
not these regrets.

Did you ever realize
trees have a life
no soul
human beings
as much as trees produce seeds
and as they seed fresher ones
we to newer generations

after the weeds in the sea
we were like fixated trees
quite some billions of years thence
we did to travel commence
on all fours

we all were trees once before.
