Human
Human
Written by Kelly Ann Wilson
I was far too pure of heart
To put the pieces together myself.
I didn’t have a word for it
Until someone else spelled it out.
I hadn’t come to see the world
The way that you do.
I still don’t and never will,
Though you tried your damnedest, didn’t you?
Did you learn from your grandpa’s crimes,
Or those of your father?
When you were younger
You were the victim,
But you became the descendent monster.
