Treated like her, a precious gem,
Adored and cherished, from end to stem.
In her presence, I feel so alive,

Vampire III

Levitating, He took to the air
and I, with Him, in His arms.
Soon we had arrived at my domicile

we reluctantly parted as I entered.
He bade me, "invite me in." I did so
Retiring to my private bed chamber.

our eyes met in a fathomless depth
His face contorted...smile changing
lips parting, as He drew me in...

White as snow, fangs extruding
biting down hard on my tender neck
I swooned with the shock of it all!

ARE WE THERE YET

None will know the answer, I’ll bet
They say that we’ll all be in Paradise
But it’s been some time getting there
Despite our long and fractured history
Why does the future remain a mystery

Fresh mint green lawns
A black silk feathered bird
hopping On delicate
springs

Tangerine beaked bill
seeking out it's next meal

Cloud birds on wings
of symphony travelling
from the pop stars of the
trees

filling into the dome of
Electric blue skies a
bone warming blissfulness.

Bright blades of golden
sunshine massaging
the backs of peaceful
gardens.

Love had made mistakes.
More than I care to mention.
So, I didn’t see you coming.

The one that stood Idly by,
waiting for me to notice
the direction on my compass
pointing right there at you.

In the depths of night, when darkness reigns,
I just wanna blakkout, release these chains.
Let shadows dance and whispers grow,
A symphony of secrets only I know.

Blackout the noise, the chaos, the fear,
Embrace the solitude, let it draw near.
In the realm of shadows, I find my peace,
Where shadows linger and silence doesn't cease.

I just wanna blakkout, fade into the night,
Where dreams are wild and stars shine bright.
In the cover of darkness, I am free,
To explore, to create, to simply be.

Pacing the paved path as,
I had done the previous night
awaiting my dark acquaintance.

It was moon rise when He appeared
He bade me to sit on the white bench.
Taking my hand to assist me.

I sat, my eyes taking Him in,
Tall, about six foot four, and pale,
with the most piercing green eyes.

I'd had warning not to look too deep
into the pits of Hell, smoldering.
but I was not glamoured by sight!

Mom would make them,
bake them up sweet!
They were supposed to be
the whole families treat?
I'd stand right beside her
stealing spoonfuls of batter.
When I was a kid
well, not much else mattered!
She'd criss cross the tops
and bake them together.
By the time they were finished
the aroma had gathered,
straight up in our nostrils
from off of the platter.
We'd run to the table
and take off our ball caps,
to eat them with milk
and take a long nap!

I am mountain
I am sea
I am desert
I am tree

I am the taste of salt
I am the rushing rain
I am the smell of earth rising
I am red poppies of the plain

I am universal
I am the only
I am of all present
I am of the lonely

I am your vision
I am your beam
I am your light
Your realized dream

I am the dust in the stars
The infinite being
The endless space and time
The knowing, all-seeing

Awake now from this hazy anesthesia
Rise above the opaque mystery
This beautiful, magic, and terrible dreamscape
Is not the visage of existence
But the fabric of life itself
Blanketing the discerning observer
Underneath a comforting heartwork
Where all thoughts and actions
Become subtle artwork
