What Flowers Know

My thoughts, difficult sometimes,
compete with the flowers all about me,
offering their hues to the sun above.

The petals seem to understand
small wonders can be anywhere,
and attempt to share their wisdom
in bracing fields, in every shade of bloom.

Killer Rush (by: eddy styx)

evil permeated
the room...
where they met to seek
and call out the Doom

the sacrifice was
innocent and unaware,
yet he did agree to
the promises of the affair.

for the sweetness,
kiss of needle to skin
the sharpest prick
drove away thoughts of sin.

a vein is struck as
plunger draws liquid surge,
blood flowing into barrel
slowly as drug and soul merge.

eyes roll back in head as he
is one with his addiction
she is his seductress...
his lover and his affliction!

The Proudest Moment

Far above I stand there
across from the blue sky
display as the great mountain
built with a strenuous height
of sturdy and mighty
portray as a strong image
raising to the deep climbing steps
through perseverance
with each challenge
When it comes to facing disaster
carrying with its strength
to conquer the fear of falling
continue to rise to the top
of the summit peak
achieving its goal as a champion
like a prize bringing home
with a jubilant feeling
of a great victory celebration

Alley cat affair!

Hes got that strut,
whiskers and a hat
showin' what hes got
that alley cat.
Feelin' kind of pesky
with his tail held high.
Movin' with the rythym
through a moonlit night.
The gaelic gal,
crept up from behind.
O'malley was befrazzled
it was whoopin' time.
She waved her tail
as he began to wail!
Caught him unawares
with his dungarees down.
There was no way now,
to control his passion.
It was over and done
in lightning like fashion.

6 Months

6 Months
Written by Kelly Ann Wilson

For 6 months
I was paralyzed
I was frozen
Numb

I don’t even know what I did
How I passed the time

I couldn’t move
I couldn’t speak
I couldn’t look up
I disappeared

And I know, I know that life is fragile
And delicate
And goes by so fast
And even knowing that so deeply
Wasn’t enough

It was just so unimaginable
That there was no way to reconcile it
That couldn’t really be what happened
But it was

UNDER THE STREET INFLUENCE

a neon blue radiance
sign buzzed
like an angry hive.
a drunken bum hiding

in a shelter of yesterday's
Newspapers a pimp
On the street looking

For more victims
a cop on the beat
power to his head
looking for anything
to arrest a silver gun
pointed in any direction

This or That

This or that,
Her or me.
Can't have both,
chaos verses normalcy.

Love or hate,
escape to fate.
Gladness turns to madness,
hand delivered from hell's gate.

Needle or smoke,
one last toke,
was it worth the cost
and everyone you lost?

Without You

My heart is drumming
As the cannon sounds
Crimson stains the dirt
As my eyes look around

As the numbers dwindle
Your hand grazes mine
We're both wondering
If we'll make it out alive

Stand shoulder to shoulder
Heartbeat tense, feet ready
I promise I'll protect you
If you'll just hold me steady

I could live, you could die
You have to live, I do too
But honestly, I'd rather die
Than live life without you

COMING SOON

As the winter winds still sing
A fading lonesome final song,
Snows will slowly fade away
As springtime comes along.

Winter snows will leave the mountains
While cool water will provide its worth,
The streams and lakes will fill again
Beautiful signs of summer's birth.

Robins and other song birds sing
Tunes that fill the daytime skies,
As crocus, tulips, and daffodils bloom
Before our waiting watchful eyes.

My First Bicycle Ride

I felt the tires squeal
As I plowed up that hill

I raced as fast as I can
Moving moving past my original plan

I rang the bell on my handlebars
As I swiped several nearby cars

I felt myself slowing down
Hoping I would not hit the ground

My head was so full of steam
When I finally woke from my dream
