OUR STRENTH

Forged by God,
yet perfect words i cannot find.
Only human,
fallen by a demons battle-cry.
Is this the norm for us normal,
Awaiting, looking for the wings
that in heart allow us to fly?

Icy mornings and dark sunsets,
the shadows always tainting.
Within the depths of hollow,
The soul always maintaining.
Forged by greatness,
this is our sadness,
yet for each day it is our strenth.

Sickly Sweet

I want your heart
your kiss of death
your sugar lips
your honey breath

my heart is ice
my fingers numb
you stole the warmth
but feel it none

beautiful lights
dance in your eyes
your touch, your tease
is slight surprise

your smile's a lie
when you are sad
the one you love
let others have

though stars may fly
they seldom fall
i found but one
to hold through all

my heart of hearts
lies in your hand
you've turned it into
tears and sand

Green Eyes

The beauty in your green eyes
Steals and it seals,
The beauty of your heart
As well

If only I wish
I was much younger, than still
Your beauty I'd devour at will
But it’s too late in my life,
The sun is about to set,
The horizon is far, distant away…

I can't stay,
Even if you want me to play

My good times have lapsed
And passed away
Some other time,
We shall meet, we hope
And
in your life flowers will someone lay
Who with your loveliest eyes can play?

A PAPER HEART

A PAPER HEART

A paper heart
torn and tosssed,
a paper heart stained red
folded into a box.
A paper heart blown in the wind
free to fly, the world its prison.
A faded heart with no ear to listen

The world burns,
in search the paper heart turns.
Over and over with different shades,
each dawn it comes to rest.
Each dawn wishing to change its stars.
Nightall with a dream it leaves,
for in the new dawn it may be blessed.
A paper heart
torn and tossed,
A paper heart with no rest.

Awakened Hope

Sweat trickles
On my palm
My heart races
Like ambulances
Through red lights

Breathing exercises start
As the room starts to move
Oh, how I wish the phone would ring
Even if it is a telemarketer
Trying to sell useless
Accessories

Thoughts are vivid now
Like a front row seat at a matinee
I start to pace the room
For a panic that is within

People start to stare
As they begin to whisper
Are they talking about me?
Paranoia also came uninvited

Earth-ache

The sweet dream,
A horrendous scream
Aborted.

Secret inner fears,
Now to the extreme
Ignited.

Seeking a gleam
Out in the night
I hurried.

Greed- sharpened claws,
Dripping blood
The soil deeply clenched

Dying Planet
Past glorious days helplessly
Mourned.

Droves of lost earthlings
Dark streets
Roamed

Ravenous sharks ,
biophagous marauders
I recognized

Scrumptious baitballs,
fleshy quarries
Oddly ignored

I’m not Blind! Or Am I? Blog Conversion OLD WINE INnew Botlles

I’m not Blind! Or Am I?

I am not colour blind
But blind,
And my hearts’
Not red,
I’m told it’s white
Red hot
That's how I live
So ever after,
happily

Let love be blind
But under the sheets
No lights are needed
Tis the warmth of the hearth
The breath
That we value most
You love me
And
I’d you toast

So is loves divinity
A gift of eternity
Where’s the need
Of others invasion,
When love and lust
Can be the very most
Satisfying equation

a shred of... (3 of 3)

where old eyes were
stares back with crinkled decree and inked sockets
mouth opening to howl but there is
just the writing filling his brims
the coiled sheet within
crawls and stretches slowly
shifting out and beyond all orifi

DRAINAGE

The tide flows in from the sea
Bringing in great things from abroad
Big merchant ships berthing at ports
We dredged our water ways

Digging deep muddy beds and swamps
Our produce ebbed with a hiss to the sea
Our kids in pursuit of greener pastures
Craze for visas, a wave of brain drain

Boats and canoes in shallow waters
Like leaves dropped in running rain water
Empty the drift into the Atlantic
And are buried with the flood

ANCIENT ARISEN

ANCIENT ARISEN

Ancient arisen yet only two quarters into life,
soul with fire i will not fall to the dark this night.
Go gentle at the close of this day,
for an old arisen man, leads with the light.
Two quaters and the knowing, born from dust
with ease,
to return spellbound if i must.
