Wandering Wallet

One fine bright day at the Summer fair
enjoying the sweetness of the moment,
floating along, without a worry or care!

It fell from his back hip pocket,
as he walked on ever eager
delivering to her hands a gold locket,

Shape chosen, the ever lovely heart,
opening to view their smiling likeness
Whose vows would never part.

She would ever wear, resting on her chest,
a symbol of their love, shining like a light
to each other pledged, forsaking all the rest.

Building The State

Building the State

I’ve done my part in building the state
Before I say a leave-taking
Even nobody ventures to say a word
I have known;
That I'm not a venture-someness
I gave people a venture capital to break their yokes.
This a short speech full of throw away lines
A chance to thumb my nose at the citizens
When I had to strain to reach the peak
And I have never been joking since all my life;
Read me even my handwriting straggled over the pages.

Poetry, Unpublished

She created it to shake snow
off trembling mountain tops,
bring light to lost souls in the void of purgatory.

It was hoped to
open blind eyes,
minds,
hearts,
yield intersession and meditation
and pass along peace wrapped in
bundles of unconditional love

like an aid convoy, or perhaps,
a rainbow.

Yes, a rainbow

spanned over miles and kilometers
of this poetry famished world.

It was composed, then perfectly polished.

Talking to the moon

Only the moon can bear witness
To promises whispered in darkness
Only the moon could speak of our time
Of almost bliss and breathless kisses
Out there underneath the black dome

While the stars blinked and blushed,
Among the shadows solemnly hushed,
We swayed and swayed as the trees
Do with the breeze...
We swayed, we swayed,
With a "moon and tide" ease.

How quickly it all withers away
A death so diligent as that of a rose
Nothing good can ever stay
And that is how it all goes.

Pass Through The First Death

Under the same sun and air
We are muzzled like ox as we tread out the grains
Our necks are stiffed like burdens of cattle,
In the flame grass, the oak, everywhere we go.
Under the fine rain, thick cloud, the chilly wind,
We listen to their whistles with the strokes of rod that refines our body,
As we are passing through our first death;
We stare at the birds flying by
Because they appear so free;
There are still words left unsaid
When we travel far than the calling sounds.

Birdcage

I am at the bottom of the birdcage
Just laying in the grit
Feeling snug and warm
Coz I'm a piece of shit

I'm at the bottom of the birdcage
Why don't you come and sit
Not one person will bother us
Coz they can't handle it

I'm at the bottom of the birdcage
It's where I spend my time
Alone in my thought no pardons sought
Smoking reefer so sublime

I'm sitting in this birdcage
But what no-one can see
For growing in this birdcage
Is my own poet's tree
