Antiquated
People stare when I wear my bell-bottoms,
but they don’t know when my ankles swell.
When people see my camelback sofa
and credenza, they say I’m not “with it.”
I take my valise to work and drop it on my desk.
They shake their heads and whisper, “Dated.”
I get home after a long day, and I am exhausted.
I play a movie on my VHS player,
and I am taking forty winks.
