What we do in the day
is seen by the light.
Our sweet indiscretions
committed at night!

You never know
what He might do or say,
but we'll all find out
in the course of time.

Your heart is pounding
your hands are shaking.
Beads of sweat form
upon your brow.

The enemy comes round
just to shake you.
When morning comes
darkness will vaporize.

You'll move along
to overcome your seeming blight.
It's in yor mind
to make things right!

Left assured assumptions consumes the conduct of diligence while prickling princeling essence of the understatement

The conjunction of the pressure it’s to pursue the tail further down till it reaches its quantum

Throughout the rainy season
Mushrooms emerge from the soil
Beside mighty trees and from our own lawns
Thriving wherever there's moisure

Bringing traffic to the forest in the shape of orange-vested foragers
With a basket in one hand and Opinel knife in the other
Some looking for garnishes for their steaks
And others out for a quick buck

Beneath a cloister of moss or salal
Lucky chanterelles may be spared
Sequestered away like monks in Tibet or the Alps
Growing as much as they can before returning to the Earth

“Our love is hostile,” he said to me.
At first, I didn’t quite understand what he meant.
Because what we were to each other
had become normal for me.

Our chaos became a constant in my life.
We would fight.
We were malicious with each other.
Our words were spiteful,
full of resentment.

Every moment could become turbulent
given one wrong word.
Always in a rush,
to get away from each other.

Leaving him was the hardest thing I’d ever done,
losing us was losing half of myself.

I don't like calendars.
The constant march of weeks and months,
tracking them methodically as we go.
Fewer days for us to live.

This morning, I awake
and brush these thoughts aside.
The light through the drapes makes no promises,

but beckons me to rise
and welcome the tiny Pacific Wrens
often seen through our window.

I check the orange tree through the glass
to see if some have ripened enough
for our morning table.

Superman came into my life
He talked to me
He listened to me
He made me feel good again
And then he went away

He told me that I had nothing to fear
That I was enough for everything
That I could be the very best I could be
And it came true

My superman did not fly in the sky
He did not leap tall buildings in
A single leap

He is an ordinary man
With a spectacular skill
The ability to make me feel good again

He gave me the tools
To live again
In the fullest possible way

Full of hearts with dreams engraved in their chests.

Hell's let loose and her dark clouds roll over the streets.
There's no mercy here and faith is all but weakness

Heaven too sits still, void of his maker
Prayers and supplications hanging on thin air
Saviours and Helpers watching to pick the ones whose names ring sweetly,
Calvary is full of tears and crosses are laid up in sadness

Pat-a-cake, pat-a-cake, baker’s man
Find me a lover fast as you can
Find me a sweet boy, make it quick
Not too fast or I’ll get sick.

Sick with love,
No cure by medicine.
Do you love me?
Don’t be hesitant.

Hesitant love is not for me
Love me deep and true and free.
Do these things and you’ll be mine
Be my boy til the end of time.

Whispers on the wind
from a loving freind.
Taken by surprize
they are hard to come by.

When the dark clouds scatter
you might take a chance.
Just to visit, fraternize
lie down there beside her.

Make love until the sun
is swallowed in the sea.
Walk along the shoreline
lie down upon the sand.

Given this one chance
which may or may not come again.
A freind whom you can spend time with.
and walk into the sunset
