Lonely Candle
Lonely candle on the sand
The April wind blows
But the flame stands tall
Strong
Flickering on
The sole source of light
On a dark ocean night
On this early spring eve
I visit this place
I kneel at the candle
Whisper a prayer
Heave a soft sigh
Shed a small tear
The flame flickers out
Read the rest of the poem Show less
But in my heart
The flame burns on
Always present
Watching over
Lighting the path
Warming my soul
I feel her there with me
And I smile at Heaven
